Marina Sea Salt Amagwinya

Amagwinya also known as "Vetkoek" is a delightful snack commonly enjoyed with cheese, polony and mince
 
Ingredients
 
 5 cups all purpose Flour
 
 ½ cup Sugar
 
 10 g Yeast (1 sachet = 10 g)
 
 1 tsp Marina lighthouse salt
 
 2 ½ cups Warm water
 
 Oil
 
Preparation Instructions
 
1. Place all your dry ingredients in your mixing bowl and mix together well : flour, sugar, yeast and salt.
 
2. Add water and 2 tablespoons of oil and mix well. You may use a mixer if you do not have one your hands will do just fine. After mixing you dough should be sticky.
 
3. Cover your dough with a cloth and let rise for 45 mins. (Place in sun for best results).
 
4. Your dough should have doubled in size by now. Knead
 
your dough one more time and let it rest for another 15 mins.
 
Cooking Instructions
 
5. Heat up your oil at a medium temperature. Make sure you put enough oil to allow for deep frying.
 
6. Separate your dough into balls and fry until golden brown. Approximately 10 mins.
 
7. Serve and enjoy!
