Salt is an all-natural, cost-efficient way to keep your home clean. Over the next few weeks we will be taking a look at 20 easy ways you can start cleaning with salt in your home. This is part 3, so if you have missed the last few hacks be sure to check our last few blogposts.
When you think of salt, a bowl of freshly popped popcorn might come to mind. But thanks to its granular texture, salt has the power to do a lot more than season your food. When it comes to cleaning, salt is a natural (not to mention cheap) alternative. From getting out wine stains to deterring ants.

Using Salt in your Washing Room
Brighten your laundry/washing: Dip a washcloth in a strong saltwater solution (mixed with marina sea salt), wring it out and briskly rub faded rugs and curtains to brighten the colors.

Remove bloodstains: Soak the stained fabric in cold saltwater; then wash in warm, soapy water.

Get rid of mildew: Moisten the mildew-stained spots with a mixture of Marina Sea salt and lemon juice. Set in a sunny spot for bleaching, then rinse and dry.

Get rid of sweat stains: Four tablespoons of Marina Sea salt added to one litre of hot water this makes for the perfect sweat-stain remover.
