This delctable recipe smothers chicken livers in a delectable peri-peri sauce. This sauce goes perfectly with the chicken livers and is even nice when soaked up with crusty bread. The best part is that you can whip up this quick peri-peri chicken livers recipe in just 30 minutes. This gives you plenty of time to prepare the rest of your three-course meal. 

 

Ingredients: 

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 500g chicken livers, cleaned and trimmed
  • 3-4 tablespoons peri-peri sauce
  • Juice of 1 lemon 
  • ½ cup cream
  • Marina Lighthouse salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped parsley to serve
  • Crusty bread to serve

Instructions: 

In a very hot skillet/frying pan, melt the butter and fry the chicken livers until golden brown on both sides. 

Add the garlic and peri-peri sauce and allow to fry for another minute until fragrant then add the lemon juice and cream. 

Season with the Marina Lighthouse salt and pepper and allow to simmer for 5-7 minutes.

Serve with crusty bread. Enjoy!
