Delightful Lamb Shanks Recipe for a Cozy Winter Meal

Ingredients: 


- 6 medium sized lamb shanks 

- 250ml tomato paste

- 2 meduim onions, chopped

- 2 tablespoons of Marina Braai salt with Coriander 

- 3 tablespoons of Marina Lighthouse pepper 

- 500ml dry white wine 


Method: 

1. In a large frying pan, fry the chopped onions and lamb shanks together until the onions are translucent and the lamb shanks are browned. 

2. Season the lamb shanks with the Marina Braai salt with Coriander and Marina Lighthouse pepper. Stir to coat the shanks evenly. 

3. Pour in the dry white wine and bring it to a boil. Allow the sauce to reduce slightly. 


4. Add the tomato paste and stir well to combine with the lamb shanks. Make sure the shanks are fully coated in the flavorful sauce. 

5. Reduce the heat to low and simmer the lamb shanks covered for approximately 2 hours. Cooking them slowly on low heat is the secret to achieving tender and delicious results. 

6. Stir occasionally and check the tenderness of the lamb shanks. They should be soft and easily pull away from the bone when done.
